There’s a great TechCrunch article from April 9, that I totally missed. In it, Michael Arrington discusses the lack of initiative in building social networks into the mobile space - and even offers his own solution. Read full article here.

After reading the article, consider the following: which company has been quietly bidding on and buying spectrum, quietly propping up it’s own services as THE “go-to” brands, innocently releasing an OpenSocial API that can link every social network together? Which company could be looking at a chess game 10 moves ahead, waiting to strike? Anyone? Anyone? Google?

Also, why the hell isn’t ANYONE really doing anything in mobile?!? I can name several companies (and one day might) who pride themselves on being innovative, but do little to posture themselves for the coming mobile revolution.
